Services
Each project begins with an understanding of the client’s goals. Some of our clients are focused on locking in fixed rate supply agreements to manage budgets and cash flows, while some are looking for real-time intelligence to capture market pricing opportunities. No matter the goal, Capstone Energy Services tailors each program to the client’s specific energy management requirements.
Step One
Reviewing Your History
Capstone Energy Services analyzes energy usage and purchasing history, along with the client’s purchasing strategy and any existing supply agreements. We compare the client’s plan with the current execution to find any gaps. For clients with well-developed strategies, we will review and offer suggestions. For clients without any strategy, we ask the important questions to help develop one.
Step Two
Strategic Analysis and Development
Once we know where the client is, the next step is to figure out where to go. Our goal is to develop long-term savings and price stability for our clients.
To do this, we first look at our clients’ goals through the prism of the commodity markets. Far more than simply reviewing current pricing, Capstone Energy Services blends technical and fundamental analyses with a focused understanding of the micro-market structure in each client’s location. Once we have developed a picture of the macro-environment of the energy markets, we review the current opportunities available through utilities and third party suppliers.
All of our focus is designed to build programs that allow our clients to access energy pricing that is as close to wholesale as possible, manage credit requirements from suppliers and help them understand and manage commodity risk. They are all highly tailored and always refer back to our clients’ goals.
Step Three
Strategic Execution
Once our clients have reviewed their options and made decisions, it’s time for Capstone Energy Services to execute. Our core services include developing RFP processes, negotiating supply contracts and credit requirements and putting all of this into a comprehensive package for our clients’ management teams. Think of us as your “insourced” energy department.
